Civil Aviation Workers’ Day
On February 9, Russia celebrates Civil Aviation Workers’ Day - a professional holiday honoring all those whose lives and careers are connected with the sky. This day pays tribute to one of the country’s most important industries, which connects cities and nations, ensures mobility and safety, and drives economic and social development.
The date is historically significant. On February 9, 1923, a decision was made that marked the beginning of civil aviation in Russia. Since then, civil aviation has become an integral part of modern life, opening new routes and opportunities for millions of passengers.
For Domina Pulkovo Hotel, this holiday holds a special meaning. It is closely tied to the personal story of our General Director, Evgeny Mikhailovich Voytenkov, whose life has long been connected with aviation. A graduate of the Kremenchuk Civil Aviation Flight School, he began his career as a pilot and progressed from helicopter captain to squadron chief of staff. Although an accident brought his flying career to an end, his deep respect for the profession and love for the sky have remained with him ever since.
This is why the hotel’s interiors feature artworks depicting airplanes and helicopters - a tribute to civil aviation and a reflection of a personal journey that has become part of Domina Pulkovo’s philosophy. These details create an atmosphere that inspires travel, movement, and new horizons.
On this special day, we proudly поздравляем all civil aviation professionals - pilots, cabin crew, air traffic controllers, engineers, and everyone who ensures flight safety and passenger comfort every day.
We wish you clear skies, reliable aircraft, smooth flights, and continued professional success!
